Sorry about the absenteeism this week!
Today is Current Event Friday so you will be working in your groups to discuss current events in an online environment. We tried this out two weeks ago and should now have the kinks worked out officially.
This week, instead of a series of articles, you will discuss TWO articles (links are posted below) You will spend the first 15 minutes of class READING the articles and then preparing a post regarding both of the articles.
Once the 15 minutes is up, then the following people will make instant chats on first class for their group -
Group 1 - Jennifer (you create the chat) - group members are Aeroll, Melanie, Nick, Brooke, Claire and Ryan
Group 2 - Andrew (you create the chat) - group members are Kennedy, Chassidy, Emilie, Rosanne and Alex
Group 3 - Meg (you create the chat) - group members are Ashton, Brandie, Amy Son, Aaron, and Patrick
Group 4 - Amy (you create the chat) - group members are Elly, Sam, Morgan, Elisha and Levi
Then you can type out your post and begin commenting on what others have to say. Remember - First Class is school property so I expect you to use school appropriate language! Also, I'm looking for proper grammar, sentence structure and punctuation (formal writing!).
Also, because I was away on Thursday and Friday, your due date for the essay development will be Tuesday of next week, not Monday. That way you will have time to ask me questions on Monday.
Have fun. Happy chatting!
With 10 minutes left in class you can challenge yourself to some geography games at www.sheppardsoftware.com.
