U.S. Congress Holds Hearing on Rwanda's Role in the DR Congo
Today at 10 am Eastern Standard Time, the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Human Rights of the United States Congress will examine Rwanda's involvement in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The hearing, entitled "Examining the Role of Rwanda in the DRC Insurgency," will delve into the impact of Rwanda's support of rebel groups inside the Congo on the civilian population in eastern Congo.
Top U.S. officials from the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development as well as clergy from the Congo will testify.
