Thank you to the facebookers (Nick, Morgan and Aaron) who passed this link along. It is a fantastic 30 minute video on Child Soldiers in Uganda created by the Invisible Children Organization. The goal of this video is to raise awareness of one of the worst war criminals in the world - Joseph Kony of Uganda.

As I mentioned to all of you at the beginning of the year, you always need to question what you hear and see (especially in this age of technology and social media).
So to provide another perspective on the Invisible Children video, I've attached a link to a blog that highlights the perspectives of many key players in Uganda. The criticism of the Kony 2012 video is that it is seeking to gain support for an American solution to an African problem. In addition, critics state that it is outdated (as Kony is no longer in Uganda and has moved into the DRC), sensationalized (providing an entertainment value without much factual value) and general (video is appealing to the general public and so hasn't provided an indepth look at the full extent of the issues in Uganda).

Regardless, I think what everyone can agree upon is that there are 26 million MORE people who now are aware of who this war criminal Joseph Kony is - and regardless of where the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) is operating out of, people are demanding change.
If you see something that needs to change, do SOMETHING to change it!
