Social 10 Competencies

1. Explore the foundations of globalization

2. Examine historical impacts and legacies of cultural contact between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples (exchange of goods and technologies, imperialism, depopulation, influences on government and social institutions imperialism, Eurocentrism)

3. Examine the foundations and expansion of economic globalization (F. A. Hayek, Bretton Woods Conference, Milton Friedman, international organizations, transnational corporations, media and transportation technologies, trade liberalization, foreign investment, economic growth, privatization, outsourcing, knowledge economy, rise of capitalism, industrialization,)
