1st ICC verdict due against DRC militia boss: The ICC is set to hand down judgement in the trial of Congolese militia leader Thomas Lubanga in its first verdict since the launch almost a decade ago.
You know the story of Kony, well here is a very similar story of another militia leader in the DRC Lubanga (leader of the Patriotic Forces for the Liberation of Congo (FPLC)).
A clip from the article: "Prosecutors alleged that Patriotic Forces for the Liberation of Congo (FPLC) militia under Lubanga's control abducted children as young as 11 from their homes, schools and football fields. They were taken to military training camps, where they were beaten and drugged. Girls among them were used as sex slaves, prosecutors told the court."
